Quirky House Homestay

Mamaku

Homestay in Mamaku, New Zealand

Baa ba, moo, moo, Chook Chook, Quirky House had it all, however, nowadays we only have chooks...hence our rustic "Quirky House". Set on 2022 sq m section this small 80sq bungalow, with a lovely bedroom, lends itself to a great spot for some peace and quiet, rest, and relaxation.
Perfect for students wishing to do some quiet study, or anyone wanting some time out.
The French doors open out onto a wee small deck, with a small goldfish pond set to one side, and usually shared with Harry (our cat) and sometimes our chooks.
This room gets the early morning sun as well as the evening sun all day round.
Mamaku is a small rural village North of Rotorua, situated approximately 21km from the CBD, so the weekly fee includes flexible times for transportation; within the pricing, trips can be negotiated prior to or after booking.
We are a mature, married couple and first-timers to running a homestay. Having travelled to the UK and Australia, and the Pacific Islands, and we do, very much look forward to meeting many new people.
Note: My wife being the great cook that she is, the majority of all our meals home cooked, (sometimes feasts) she is usually ready to feed an army, so don't be shy. :0)
